Project Location: Detroit, MI

The initial program is fire station. Since it located in downtown Detroit and land used for surface parking, the goal of design is for developing a vertical system for fire station and car parking. The fire station is designed at the first-floor southeast corner of the block connecting Grand River AVE, W Adams AVE and 1st Street as a cornerstone. The training towel of the fire station grows vertically to reach the office building and residential building above, which is also function as circulation towel. The parking vertically inserts into the building adding multiple landing point for different program.
